Riley Turner was born February 21, 2008 and from the beginning she has been a very medically complex child. She has an undiagnosed myopathy which required a tracheostomy tube which requires 24-hour attention and a gastrostomy-jejunostomy tube for feeding and medicine.

Riley’s family has partnered with a local non-profit, the RITA Foundation, to put together a 5K Race for Riley to help cover the medical bills, equipment and nursing care that are no longer covered by their group insurance plan.

Saturday, October 11th at 8:00 am
St. Johns Town Center

The walk/run will start and finish in the center of the main street
with the course winding through the avenues of shops and stores.

HERE'S HOW TO GET INVOLVED

  1. Sign up for the RITA Run/Walk at any 1st Place Sports location or on their web site, www.1stPlaceSports.com. Entry fee for the run is $17 up to one week before, $20 up to 3 days before and $25 day of race. Fee for the 1-mile walk is $12 any time.

All pledge money raised flows through RITA and is returned 100% to Riley’s Trust Fund.
Riley’s family will give a portion of the money raised to a fund for families with
medically needy children through PedsCare Community Hospice.
